Shopaholic... Am I?

Nowadays, I perceived that I really love shopping and frittering my savings just in order to purchase things that I covet instead of what I necessitate. Am I a shopaholic? Oh no!!! Please, don't! Hahak!

What is shopaholic, anyway? Shopaholic, in other word is 'compulsive buying disorder'. In point of fact, this kind of etiquette is not good. It is wasting of money. If you go to shopping mall, just get a hold of what you want in its place of getting a hold of what you want. Sometimes, you don't really need it. Am I right? Hehe.

However, as for me, shopping is one of my leisure pursuits. In my point of view, it is quite okay if you go shopping, just in order to spend times together with your loved ones, or just for relaxation. But please go easy with it. Don't overspend because it will surely give you certain side upshots. (^_^)

Any tips in overcoming this etiquette? Hahak! Maybe before you go to a shopping, don't bring too much cash. It will cost you a lot if you bring a load of it.

Noob Chef: Fried Fettuccine... in the making

It has been a quite long time since I last cooked. Today, I made my beloved mama's favourite recipe of mine which is fried fettuccine. What is fettuccine? It is a kind of pasta, which looks like mee sanggul.

The very first thing is, prepare all the ingredients. The ingredients may vary, but it's up to you all, guys. Those ingredients include (according to my recipe):

  • Fettuccine
  • Chicken breast (sliced)
  • Prawn
  • Carrot (sliced into cubes)
  • Capsicum (cut into cubes)
  • Onions (diced)
  • Garlic
  • Baby corns
  • Cauliflower
  • Broccoli
  • Tomato paste (I blended it with chilli)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Soy sauce
  • Black pepper (coarse) - if you like it hot
  • Cooking oil (I prefer corn oil - more healthy)

Methods:-
  1. Cook the fettuccine in a boiling water until it is soft. Add in some oil (to prevent it from sticking to each other) and season it with a little bit of salt (don't put too much as you might season it again during frying).
  2. Heat the wok with cooking oil, and fry garlic and onions, until golden brown or until you can smell it.
  3. Add in the tomato paste.
  4. Add in the chicken first, then only prawn. Don't cook the prawn too long as it will make the prawn hardened.
  5. Add in the vegetables as mentioned above, stir until cooked.
  6. Season it with salt, to taste.
  7. Pour the fettuccine noodles into the wok, add in soy sauce and some black pepper.
  8. Stir fry until dry.
  9. Dish out, and serve out.

Tadaaa! Hahak! Does it look delectable? To me, it does. :P But, please be informed that the ingredients are up to you and your taste. I can't give you the precise portion.

Bon apetit, guys!!! (~_^) Don't forget to say basmalah and recite the prayer before eating.

Growing Stronger

In this humankind, we are for eternity confronted with lots of challenges with many sort. As for me, I always take it as a part of life. This is for the reason that at times though it will contribute to our horrific frame of mind; it will as well make us more sturdy and well-built. Thus, don’t ever be nagged of it. It is all Allah’s wants and we must face it with our willingness and insya-Allah, He will help us in overcoming it. And never ever forget to pray to Allah S.W.T.
