Perfect, Is It A Compulsion To Counsel Others?

A few months ago, the author talked to one of his acquaintances about advising others. For instance, counseling others regarding solah. Nevertheless, the acquaintance said to the author that if he was in the author's shoes, he would not dare enough to do so because of imperfection. In the author's point of view, lacking does not mean that we can't counsel others towards betterment and virtue. The author asked for opinions from three ustaz.

The first opinion from Ustaz Supani, stated:
"That wasn't right. We advice others when we see they wrong-do, while when they saw our wrongdoings, they will have to counsel us. That was Prophet's command."
The second opinion from Ustaz Saidi Adnan, stated:
"Prophet's hadith stated that we need to counsel others' wrongdoings. This hadith is general and it is not specified to those who are perfect only. If we saw wrongdoings, it will be a necessity to comment with hikmah."
The third opinion from Ustaz Zahirwan, stated:
"You have to comment others because nobody's perfect. Your act was right. Don't give up. In da'wah, there will be a lot of challenges."
During this opportunity, the author would like to express his gratitude to those ustaz. May Allah bless them always. Amin.

Wallahu'alam.

Recipe For Happiness

Just now, my dearest friend text me to share this:

 Recipe For Happiness

Take equal parts of faith and courage, mix well with a sense of humor, sprinkle with a few tears, and add a helping of kindness for others. Bake in a good natured oven, and dust with laughter. Scape away any self indulgence that is apparent, and serve with generous helpings.
Yours faithfully,

Say It Now

A few days back, my friend shared this with me:

Say It Now
If you have a tender message,
Or a loving word to say,
Don't wait till you forget it,
But whisper it today!

The tender words unspoken,
The letter never sent,
The long forgotten messages,
The wealth of love unspent.

For these some hearts are breaking,
For these some loved ones wait,
Then give them what they're needing,
Before it is too late.

Will You Forgive Me

A friend of mine shared this story with me. "Will You Forgive Me" is the title.

Will You Forgive Me

Many years ago, a professor at the University of Edinburgh was listening to his students as they presented oral readings. One young man rose to begin his recitation but was abruptly stopped by the professor. "You are holding the book in the wrong hand," criticized the educator. "Take your book in the right hand and be seated."
Responding to this strong rebuke, the man held up his right arm. He didn't have a right hand! The other students were deathly quiet and began to shift in their seats. For a moment the professor sat in dumbfounded silence. Then he slowly made his way to the student, put his arm around him and with tear in his eye, said, "I am sorry. I never knew. Please, will you forgive me?"

A Familiarity of Construction Working Life (Practical Training)

Last May 2012, the writer has been given the occasion to be a practical trainee in one of the contractor companies. The five-month-period practical training has been accomplished at RBS Engineering Sdn. Bhd. The purpose of practical training is as one of the requisites in order to obtain Diploma in Building. Alhamdulillah everything was as smooth as silk and the writer has been successfully finished the practical training in October 2012.

There were lots of experiences gained from the beneficial training. The undergrads can get to know the real life in construction work. The writer would like to express his gratitude to those who helped a lot during his practical training. Only Allah can bless their collaboration.

Happy Mother's Day (2012)

In Malaysia, every second Sunday of May, do you know what that day is? It is Mother's Day. So, in this opportunity, I would like to wish my beloved Mama, "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY"!!! You are a great mother/woman to me. To be a mother, is not an easy task. It is a responsibility. I know Mama had gone through and faced many challenges in her life, as a mother as well as a human-being. All I can say or do is to always pray to Allah S.W.T. that Mama will always be given strength and bless from Allah for whatever she did, does and will do. I will never forget your good offices and I will always love you, Mama. (^_^) I don't know what to give to her. So, I've made this greeting e-card for her.

Hope you like it, Mama.

Yours faithfully,

Diploma in Building: An Overview

"What am I studying?"
That is a common question asked to me. Actually, I am now studying Diploma in Building at the MARA University of Technology (UiTM) Perak.

"What you do in your programme?"That is the other common question asked. Here, I would like to share an overview about Diploma in Building.

Diploma in Building, is a three-year programme, which includes a six-month practical training (during semester 5).  This programme aimed to produce semi-professionals with sound knowledge in construction technology, and contruction management. It is a programme under Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Surveying.

This programme is authorized by the Chartered Institute of Building UK at Level 1, and is distinguished by the Public Services Department of Malaysia.

With this programme, the graduates have the occasion to be employed in public sector as technical assistants, and in private sector as site supervisors, construction programme planners/schedulers, technical teachers and assistant quantity surveyors for building and infrastructure work.

Break A Sweat: Dance To Be Fit

So, what you guys are up to when it comes for you to break a sweat? In my point of view, one of the best ways is dancing. It may sound odd, but it is surely enjoying, plus it makes us sweat and lose weight. Try it! Throw up your favourite pop song, and start dancing. (^_^) You will enjoy it.
